Try it... You'll like it

If you haven't stitched on silk gauze yet, indulge yourself with one of Erica Michaels counted thread designs.  'Stitching Mends my Soul' is worked on 40ct. gauze, 1 over 1, using the continental stitch for the motifs and the basketweave stitch for the background.

There are some great projects ahead. Wonderful choices for the challenge, Cari. The Good Huswife one is just gorgeous, I have never seen it before.

We carry these designs in the shop Cari and can't seem to sell them. I keep encouraging people to try them or if they don't want to try the silk gauze (which is not as hard as people think) they can stitch them on whatever count they are comfortable with and they still come out beautifully.

Another great choice!

What great choices in charts, Cari! I'll enjoy watching your progress on each one. :)

I've heard that about the gauze, but I'm so lazy--here's my problem: I don't want to stitch the stupid gauze to something else so that I can stitch on it! Too much prep! LOL! It will be pretty when it's done though.

Now how come I haven't seen this one before? Nice choice! I really enjoyed stitching on silk gauze. I should do another one sometime too.

I have been wanting to try this forever. I saw some La D Da pieces done on that and they were wonderful. I'm going to watch you though - at least for a while - I'm afraid that I'd go blind doing that! LOL
