Laundry Day ?? ... I think not !!

Wash Day by Carriage House Samplings

Isn't this design charming?  When I first saw Wash Day on Deb's blog, Thread Gatherer, I knew it was a must have for me.  Kathy Barrick designed this piece for a sampler guild that Deb belongs to.  I was happy, happy, happy to find that Kathy decided to release the piece after numerous people contacted her after also seeing it on Deb's blog....Thanks Miss Deb!!

I stitched the design on 36 count Lakeside Linen, Pearled Barley.  After stitching June Morning with the Attic's Belle Soie conversion, I decided to try my hand at choosing colors and did my own conversion from DMC to Belle Soie.  I think I did a pretty good job and I'm delighted with the result!

Thanks for stopping by !

Gorgeous, Cari!!! You did a great job - it really is a pretty, sweet chart! I've yet to stitch it but will, one of these days, I'm sure. A gal at guild did it over one on 40 count and it was SO sweet. I'll not be doing that!

See you soon!

I love this design and purchased it after seeing it on someone's blog. I haven't decided what to stitch it on but was considering over one on 32ct but I'll decided for sure once I pick out fabric.

This is one of my favorites, Cari, and yours looks spectacular! Those little birds look so happy in the cool water of the birdbath. Wonderful job on your conversion, too!

I just saw this on a blog and wondered how it would look stitched and now I know - it looks great! I'd say you made good color choices, and now I'm even more inspired to put this on my to-do list. Thank for sharing.

Your very welcome Miss Cari!!! I think that you did a wonderful job. Mine, unfortunately, is still languishing in the stash basket. Seems to be the story of my life lately! I think your beautiful stitching is going to get Kathy a few more sales!!
