Knitting and Stitching

I've really enjoyed stitching 'Tis the Season' from Joyeux Noel by Blackbird Designs. I'm stitching on 40 count Lakeside Linen Pear using the called for Belle Soie silks. What a joy...

And knitting too! This is the Eyelet Cap from the fall issue of Vogue knitting. I used Socrates by Alpaca with a Twist. This yarn is more that yummy...baby alpaca, merino wool, bamboo and nylon. It was fun to knit even though knitting 8 inches of k2, p2 ribbing was more than mindless...

It's warming up nicely in Florida. Last Sunday the temperature never got above 40 degrees...today it's 74 and beautifully sunny. It's great weather for knitting and stitching while watching the NFL playoffs!! Ok...along with some serious nap time too!!

Love your "Tis the Season." Thanks to you and a couple of other enablers out there, I've bought the fibers. Also, I have that VK issue--I'll have to check into that hat. I really liked that issue and found lots of projects I wanted to knit, unlike some of the issues where I think "what?" Lucky you for 74 degrees.

Tis the Season is gorgeous, Cari! The red is so pretty! Your hat is darling - just what we need up here in Michigan - if only they didn't give me such terrible hat hair!

Your BBD piece is beautiful. Those colors are so rich and wonderful. Love your hat too. Definitely have to agree with you that the K2P2 thing can get very boring, but what wonderful results!!

Oh wow, Cari, your BBD sampler is lovely! I have some Pear on the way to me... might just have to break down and start it. Lovely knitting, too. You're a woman of many talents!

Beautiful! And SO fun! I think I should take up knitting...I could have a ton of fun with that! Now, if only I could find another 6 hours every day to do all the fun stuff. :)

What a darling knitting project! Love your sampler as well.
You did have cold temperatures! We were in Orlando and Miami last week. Thought I would freeze there. It felt much colder than Utah in the 30's!
Glad it's getting warmer for you!
