Progress on Charlotte

I am making some progress on Charlotte Clayton. I've finished the top section and about half done with the second. This week I'm working on the 1 over 1 word area and doing good so far. I love the scale of the animals on this piece. Those birds could eat up that little doggie in a 'sampler minute'!

UPDATE TO POST: Thanks to everyone for your very kind comments! I started to stitch this on 32 count linen but didn't care for it. So...I restarted on 36 count Lakeside Linen Examplar using 1 strand of the called for NPI silks. Much better I think!

OOh I love this one! I have it kitted up and ready to go. What linen/threads are you using? I am going to enjoy your progress. It is gorgeous!

I love this. I also want to know about your linens and threads. I started it (AVAS or NPI--I forget on 32 count lakeside, but the coverage wasn't great and the color of the fabric is too robust, so I'm restarting).

What a beautiful sampler! I can't wait to see more of it done. Funny about the bird! Reminds me of that scene from the movie "The Proposal", where the dog gets picked up by a huge hawk. So funny!
I'm coming your way (To Florida) on Saturday! I can hardly wait. I hope your weather stays decent! It's suppose to snow here.

Cari your Charlotte is gorgeous! I also need the report about linen and threads LOL - A sampler guild friend of mine is doing this one and I love watching her progress - I just love that little red berry border or whatever that is supposed to be - it is very simple but striking. YGG - Mel

I love this sampler Cari! You are making beautiful progress on it! :)

P.S. I was thinking about you last week when I was in New Port Richey last week. I would love it if we could meet up sometime! :) We may actually end up living there when we move back down to Florida. It would be great to know that I have a stitching friend nearby! :)
