Hello Chicago!!

She's off to Chicago!! Brent and Corinne left for Chicago early this morning. I didn't look at the clock all night long. When I woke up this morning and rolled over it was 6:43 a.m. - they departed 3 minutes ago! Whew!! This will be a busy and emotional weekend for all of us, especially for Daddy when he has to get on the plane all alone Monday evening, leaving his sweet little girl at college. I am so very proud of Corinne and her parents, Brent and Barb. They have all done a wonderful job!!

Cat's in a Frenzy

Jaxon after a lizard -- and I mean -- after a lizard. He had so much fun!! Jaxon is on top of my china cabinet. The last time I saw the lizard he was in my sewing room. I guess I'll find him all crispy one day!

Spooky Spots

Recently finished 'Spooky Spots' from Shepherds Bush. I'm on a Halloween stitch binge right now!

Blackbird Designs -

Here are my latest two finishes for the Blackbird Designs Loose Feathers Series. The one with the house is called Blessings and Kind Wishes. It was so much fun to stitch. The other one is a mystery bonus sampler. Motifs are from two earlier designs, (posted on this blog), stitched on separate pieces of linen, and then sewn together!! Way too much fun.

Socks for Dad

I knit this pair of socks for my Dad's 84th birthday from yarn spun from Buffalo down. It is so VERY soft. I talked to him on his birthday and he is very happy with them!!

Queen Cari's Sewing Bag and Chatelaine

I challenged myself to complete Queen Cari's sewing bag and chatelaine before I started one more project. Cathy and I stitched like crazy last year to complete all the cross stitch. Last October we finished the sewing bag together! It was fun. I just needed to finish up the chatelaine and I DID IT. It is 'Simply Fabulous'!
